1987 CHEVY CONVERSION VAN FOR SALE $2000
I bought this van in Newton, KS with @ 150K miles on it. I was told, the previous owners were very careful with it's maintenance, as I have been...changing oil every three to four thousand miles...it does NOT leak oil nor use oil! It is very reliable transportation... smooth riding, good power. It has a trailer hitch, cb radio (doesn't work...I don't know how to hook it up), it needs two front tires, the two rear tires are very good retreads(?) put on new by B & T Tires in Sparta, NC. There are lights inside that are not hooked up, but will give it a "luxury" feel when working. The paint outside on the left side needs attention, as well as the roof, and above the windshield up front. Just a little rust on the left side on the bottom near the front door. Interior is very good and clean. Body, mechanically and over-all appearance is very good for its age. It's a very good machince, EXCEPT for the gas mileage: about ten miles to the gallon, driving it on the interstates from KS to FL to NC. With a 33 gallon tank, it does (somewhat) make up for the low mpg consideration. The fan belt broke in Shreveport, LA on my way to FL. No other problems than that since I've owned it, putting @ 5,000 miles on it, until I got a Subaru for better efficiency and handling in the NC north eastern mountains. Also, it is maroon and gray, and the current mileage is 155,283. I feel it is worth the price of $2,000...I am quite firm on that. I do NOT guarantee any conditions, or mechanical statements. This is my honest assessment of what it is...I sell it in "AS IS CONDITION", WITH NO INTENTION of dishonesty. This trailer has a lot of sentimental value to me. My parents bought it for me after several years living in FL and I had been living in an apartment, but needed my own place, and they wanted to do this in thanks for all the help I had been to them. My parents being dead now, I'd just like to hold on to it, but have no mean$$$ of getting it up to NC. I have a friend who has a truck to pull it up here, but I need tires, repairs to get it road-ready. So instead of transferring here, maybe it would sell. Help would be appreciated.
